Energy Efficiency Tax Breaks for APC Symmetra PX250

RMD Power and Cooling customers can now claim tax breaks of up to £500K for energy efficiency savings they can demonstrate by installing the APC Symmetra PX250 scalable to 500kW.

The news follows the approval and listing of this world class, redundant, scalable power protection system on the ECA Energy Technology List.

Sustainable IT is a vital means of reducing carbon emissions. Energy efficient power and cooling can considerably cut the environmental impact of a data centre while vastly reducing electricity bills.

The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme is a key part of the Government’s programme to manage climate change, and is designed to encourage businesses to invest in energy-saving equipment.

Managed by the Carbon Trust the scheme provides a tax incentive to businesses that invest in equipment that meets published energy-saving criteria.

The Energy Technology List (ETL) details the criteria for each type of technology and lists those products in each category that meet them.

The Symmetra PX96/160kW, the Symmetra MW and MGE Galaxy products have also been submitted to the ECA and it is hoped that these products will be approved within the next few weeks.
