Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE)

PUE is the ratio of the total power supplied to a data centre against the power used by the IT equipment. It is a recognised measure of the energy efficiency of a data centre.

RMD supply the APC InfraStruXure Energy Efficiency application, which can help you reduce the PUE ratio of your data centre. It provides detailed insight into how effectively energy is utilised at an IT level compared with the total facilities consumption, including usage costs. It is also a useful tool for improving effective energy usage as it identifies efficiency losses.
