Sustainable Scotland Network 2010
We’re pleased to announce that we will be taking part in
this year’s SSN Conference on 4 November at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
It is the Sustainable Scotland Network’s ninth annual conference and it comes at a crucial time for Scotland’s national climate change plan.
In just over three months, the duties placed on public bodies by the Climate Change (Scotland) Act will come into force. As well as committing the country to delivering a 42% reduction in emissions by 2020, the Scottish Government has stipulated that from 1 January 2011, public bodies must act in the way best calculated to contribute to the delivery of Scotland’s climate change targets.
The SSN Conference 2010 will provide delegates with the latest up-to-date information on the national plan for addressing climate change. It will also highlight the opportunities that climate change action presents for Scotland’s economy, businesses and communities.
