Bypass Panels

 

Bypass panels, also known as service bypass panels or maintenance bypass panels are a type of device that allows the user to bypass the entire uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system and supply utility power directly to the critical load while isolating the UPS from both.

The use of bypass panels allows the critical load to stay in use in the case of a UPS fault or failure, and also allows the UPS to be isolated during routine testing and maintenance of the system.
